Physical flows supervisor
The number of supervisor is linked to the number of people under its responsibility (24 is a max) but also to the physical area covered by its responsibility. For example:
-
managing 2 separated buildings will force the supervisor to move from one to the other wasting his/her time. The consequence may be a lost of efficiency or to see the supervisor chosing to spend most of his/her time in one building, leaving the other out of control;
-
having 2 supervisors, one for receiving, one for shipping in an area where docks are shared may create conflicts and lost of efficiency. Sharing equipments is generaly difficult between 2 teams.
Receiving/Shipping Administrator
Responsible of the check and archive of the incoming documents
Production Material Handler
In charge of the components feeding or the evacuation of finished products to/from production lines, the Production Material Handler activity is generally cycled in order to simplify and optimize this activity.
VRO Counter
The VRO Counter is responsible of the VRO ordering execution process. It could be a part time position.
Shipping/Receiving Material Handler
In charge of the loading/unloading of trucks, hauling of material to/from the warehouse, the Shipping/Receiving Material Handler's activity is generaly linked to the truck arrival schedule.
Cycle Counter
From a list of references provided by the Inventory Analyst, the counter is in charge of their inventory cycle counting.
Physical flows Supervisor
Managing of one or multiple autonomous teams, his/her is responsible of the safety, quality, efficiency of the material handling operations and of the documents related. His/her insures the respect of the procedures in order to have a consistency beetween physical and the information flows.
