Managing exceptions

Like other processes, you have to face specific situations managing on day to day a KANBAN process. We are going to answer to 3 of them:

How to manage a Loop decrease when the number of cards to be removed is requesting you to remove cards from the KANBAN inventory;
How to manage a ponctual increase of inventory without changing the Loop;
How to manage undefined material, extra inventory or optimize your KANBAN inventory layout?

Loop Update Card Loop Update Cards are used to replace extra KANBAN Cards after a Loop decrease.

Overflow area The overflow area is dedicated to store all the material found without a dedicated location or card.

Advance Card An Advance Card is used to build an inventory on the top of the Loop.

KANBAN Tools

KANBAN Card, Launcher, Batch Building Box... the KANBAN system requires specific tools to run.

Using large Kanban cards is the most effective solution to ensure that your system will continue working after a few months.

The Batch Building Box insures the respect of the batch size and trigger the launch of its production.

The launcher visualizes the batches production sequence.
